Waiting for the day. (Poetry)

When she walks safely on the roads

at nights and all alone.

Waiting for the day!

When she needs no acceptance or permission 

for her decision, anymore.

Waiting for the day!

When she is liberate to wear of her choice

as no eyebrows raise.

Waiting for the day!

When she has the freedom to live her life

in her own way.

Waiting for the day!

When no restrictions, no boundaries,

no patriarchy she has to face.

Waiting for the day!

When she is courageous, independent

and the boss of her own.

Waiting for the day!

When her voice is heard, valued and leaves 

a contagious impact on the world.

Waiting for the day!

Soon, the day will be here, I know

but yet a long way to go!

I am waiting for the day,

eagerly waiting for that day!!
