कच्चे धागे के दो सूत में अदृश्य रक्षा कवच बाँधती हैं,
बदले में हर कदम पर बिन माँगे, मेरा साथ चाहती हैं,
वादा मुझसे माँगती हैं हर मुसीबत से उनकी रक्षा का,
साथ परमेश्वर से मेरी सकुशलता का भी वर माँगती हैं,
राखी के वो दो सूत ही मेरी कलाईयों को प्रबल बनाते हैं,
बहनों के सपनों एवं आकांक्षाओं के प्रति सजग बनाते हैं,
मुश्किल वक़्त में तभी वो सर्वप्रथम मुझे ही याद करती हैं,
ये कच्चे धागे मुझे उनके निश्छल प्रेम का हकदार बनाते हैं,
लड़ाई झगड़ों के बाद भी आपसी स्नेह कम नहीं पड़ने देतीं,
मनमुटाव सी समस्याएँ हमारे बीच कभी वो नहीं पलने देतीं,
रोली, अक्षत और दधी से यूँ विजय तिलक करती हैं वो मेरा,
जीवन युद्ध में जीतने से पूर्व ज़रा सा भी पीछे नहीं हटने देतीं,
मेरा बल हैं मेरी बहनें, बाँध रक्षासूत्र मेरी आत्मशक्ति बढ़ाती हैं,
फिर माँगकर बदले में नेग कुछ, अपना अधिकार भी जताती हैं,
मैं भी कलाई उनकी ओर कर के, शपथ उनके रक्षण का लेता हूँ,
बहनें राखी के धागों से, हमारे स्नेहिल रिश्ते को प्रबल बनाती हैं।
