“You heard this? People are getting AI to write love letters now!” Neera sipped her cappuccino with a raised eyebrow.

Kabir laughed, “Yeah! I typed ‘You have something no one else does’ into ChatGPT, and it gave me pure poetry! But the girl replied 'Try using your own brain next time.’”

“So rejection is still manual,” Rajat chuckled, and everyone burst out laughing.

Sweety tapped her phone gently. “But on a serious note, AI recreated my grandma’s voice from old recordings. Now, every night, she says, ‘Tell me a story,’ just like she used to. It’s a little creepy… but kind of beautiful too.”

Everyone went quiet for a moment.

Neera said softly, “See, AI is connecting us but also distancing us. At work, I use AI to read my patients' emotions. But sometimes I wonder. Am I really listening, or just reading a machine’s summary?”

“I’m more scared,” Kabir added, “that one day AI will gaslight us emotionally saying things like, ‘You’re not actually sad. Based on your data, you should be happy!’”

Rajat laughed, “Next step your boss checks your AI mood graph and says, ‘You’re not mentally present at work. Your smartwatch told me!’”

Sweety shook her head. “But think about it village girls learning fluent English through AI tutors, visually impaired people listening to books with emotional narration, farmers planting crops based on real-time satellite insights. This would’ve sounded like sci-fi years ago.”

“And now it’s reality,” Neera smiled. “But the real question isn’t what AI can do. It’s what we want it to do.”

Kabir said, “We’ve given it superpowers. But first, we need to become superhumans in terms of ethics and empathy.”

Rajat sipped his coffee. “Exactly. AI is smart. But let’s not be dumb about how we use it.”

Sweety gently put down her phone. “Truth is, AI’s power isn’t scary our intentions are what make or break the future.”

The four friends stood up to leave. It had started raining outside.

Kabir muttered, “Ugh, the weather app said ‘Clear Sky’!”

Neera laughed and said, “AI didn’t say this, but spending time with friends feels like the best weather.”

They all smiled and walked into the light rain feeling a lit

tle happier, a little closer.
