Everyone celebrates our 80th independence day on 15th August but we saved for after. Because we believe being Indian is not a one-day celebration in fact it is an every feeling. But We are wondering what exactly an independent nation looks like?

India is a democratic country with a variety of religions and one vast land with many different castes residing in one land for so many years.

A common man whether from any religion, he or she only wants a normal life with basic livelihood needs like food, water, education a dignified job and a respectful life with their friends and family; but there is always the dirty politics and politicians who tend to divide them into Hindu, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains and many more religious parts so they can take advantage from them for ruling into politics.

If the students have to march on roads for their basic education and get lathis and guns for their fair demands, is this the independent and democratic nation our freedom fighters dreamt of?

This is a big bad luck for India that first the British and later our own people applied the law - "Divide and Rule" upon us and fulfilled their own desired goals for their political advantage.

There is flood, hunger, dirty water in taps, roads and bridges are collapsing after one week of their inaugurations, we can think how much corruption and money blunders are going on.

The money of hard working tax payers, the money which is needed in villages for people who can't afford basic food and water supplies is going in their bank accounts.

Sad but True!!

So we as one nation think beyond the dirty politics and should unite in every crisis to fight against the problem instead of fighting with each other.

Should raise our voices where needed because a nation built of their people and in a democratic nation we have all the rights to ask for our basic needs from the government and it's their duty to listen to us and serve us not to rule over us.

So ask questions, raise your voices where needed and be united in every situation because the people who sacrificed their lives to gain this very independence for us were not only from one specific religion, they were only Indians and that is the first thought we must carry within our hearts.

I think that is the true meaning of being independent.👍🏻
