The Proposal at the Bench

Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Emily who had just moved to the city to start her new job as a graphic designer. She was a beautiful woman with a charming personality, but she had never been lucky in love.

One day, while walking to work, Emily bumped into a handsome stranger named Jack. Jack was a kind and generous man who worked at a nearby coffee shop. They exchanged greetings, and soon Emily found herself looking forward to seeing Jack every day on her way to work.

As time passed, Emily and Jack became close friends. They shared many laughs and even started hanging out after work. Emily realised that she had developed feelings for Jack and wondered if he felt the same way.

One day, Jack asked Emily out on a date, and she happily accepted. They went to a fancy restaurant, and the night was perfect. Jack was the perfect gentleman, and Emily couldn't help but fall deeper in love with him.

But just as things were going well, Jack received a job offer in another city. Emily was devastated because she had finally found someone who made her happy, and now he was leaving.

On Jack's last night in the city, he took Emily out for a walk. They walked by the river, holding hands and enjoying each other's company. Suddenly, Jack got down on one knee and proposed to Emily. She was over the moon and said yes.

They spent the next few weeks planning their wedding, but Emily noticed that Jack seemed distant. She tried to talk to him, but he brushed her off, saying he was just busy with work.

Finally, on the day of their wedding, Jack never showed up. Emily was heartbroken and couldn't believe that the man she loved had left her at the altar.

Months passed, and Emily tried to move on, but she couldn't forget Jack. One day, while walking through the park, she saw him sitting on a bench. Emily mustered up the courage to approach him and ask him why he left her.

Jack explained that he had received an offer to work in another city and was afraid that Emily would give up her dreams to follow him. He had left because he thought it was for the best.

Emily forgave him, and they sat on the bench, talking and laughing like old times. It was as if the past had never happened. Suddenly, Jack got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.

"Emily, I never stopped loving you. Will you marry me?"

Emily's heart swelled with joy as she said yes, and they hugged each other tightly.
