Holi is a colourful festival celebrated across India with lot of joy and excitement. It is not as popular in South India compared to North India but still people here love to splash colour waters and smear with colour powders.

When I was in college a Holi celebration was arranged. I was never keen with the colour powder tradition, because of having a very sensitive skin. I loved to play with water colours but unfortunately on that day they had planned only with colour powders.

I resisted but some people forced to put colour powder on my face. My skin got affected really bad and I had to undergo terrible burning sensation, followed by a series of acnes which got cleared only after three sessions with a dermatologist.

So, I'm just suggesting that while having fun, it's also important to remain sensible and use organic colours. Never aim for anyone's face and it stops to be fun when forced. So stay safe, have fun and don't hurt anyone.
