Water is the basic feature of life. You can't live without him. Rivers are great bodies that provide these basic things to all humans on Earth. Water is the precious gift of God on earth. Life exists on Earth due to the availability of water. Being tasteless, odorless and colorless, it adds flavor, color and a pleasant smell to the lives of living creatures on earth. It is found everywhere and is known as life. Nothing is far from it, but gives us life. It has no shape, but takes the form of the container in which we store it. We find it everywhere in rivers, oceans, tanks, wells, ponds, etc., but we consume water. Three quarters of the Earth is filled with water, however, we must conserve water as the percentage of clean water is very low.

Save rivers to live longer and healthier lives. At a rate that humans waste water on a daily basis, it has been recorded that water bodies will dry up in the next twenty years.

Why save rivers?

Water is a non-renewable resource, which means that it cannot be recycled and once wasted cannot be reclaimed. Therefore, this taste of organic and natural life should be saved by all. All humans should participate in water conservation. We are living when we need to conserve clean water and use only according to our usage. In many places in India and other countries, people face acute water shortage. They must depend on the government's water supply for tanks or some long-distance natural water deposits. They have to travel long distances every day to organize drinking water. They understand the value of water better than those who have adequate water supply in their areas. Water scarcity becomes very terrible for those who do not have enough water to meet their basic needs for drinking, bathing, washing etc.

India is one of the countries in the world that faces acute water shortage today. Places like Rajasthan in India and some parts of Gujarat have to face water scarcity, where women and girls go barefoot to get a pot of water in their homes. In some cities like Bangalore, people get water bottles for Rs. 25 to Rs. 30 clean water to drink. People face more problems in the summer months when the daily need for water increases. Recently, it has been studied that about 25% of the urban population does not have access to clean drinking water. In some areas, privatization of water bodies is the main cause of water scarcity.

How can we save our rivers?

There are many ways to save water. some of them are:

• Always avoid small and sharp seeded drips to avoid wastage of water.

• Do not use the washing machine after half loading. The laundry must be loaded before executing it.

• If you have unused water, keep it for future use.

• A low flat shower head and a toilet should be used.
