हमे कहाँ खबर थी

कि वो हमसे रू़ठ जायेंगे

तस्वीर तो रखेंगे अलमारी में

पर धूल की परत नही हटायेंगे।

हमे कहाँ खबर थी --------


के कुछ यू मशरूफ़ हो जायेंगे

वों अपनी जिदंगी में के

जिक्र भी न होगा ज़ुबान पे

और जो सुनेंगे मेरे चर्चे महफिलों में

वहाँ से बिन बोले ही निकल जाएंगे ।।
