What is the role of family in your life? If you ask me this question then I have a very short and to-the-point answer and that is "I can't imagine my life without my family!"

Family is a boon in disguise in today's harsh world of cut-throat competition and leg-pulling. When nobody cares for you, at the end of the day it is your family who supports, guides and cheers you. Family is like precious drops of rain falling into the desert . There can be absolutely no problem which can't be solved if you have your family by your side. Life has a meaning when lived rightly and the right way of living is taught by family only.....

We all know there is no concept of a family in western countries, children even don't know who is their father. I am not making anyone's fun here but just giving an example. And the kind of problems these kids face throughout their lives is immense! But in our country India family is given utmost priority, one can not imagine their lives without their family. But in recent times we are coming across some new norms, norms which are destroying the institution of family! Those are greedy conducts, anger, selfish nature, egoistic behaviour! Such things are not only injurious to health but also for family. Let's pledge together to end such things in our families!

Having being raised in a nuclear family, nobody can think that I would be a person wishing to live in a joint family. But yes, this is the truth! I always wish to live in a joint family, in a loving and caring family where sharing my happiness and joys will double those happiness exponentially and sharing my problems and sorrows will lessen them steadily..... it's all teachings of my parents credit goes to them..... they always told me how important it is to be with your grandparents..... because they are school in themselves..... they have immense knowledge due to their vast experience. Saddly I don't have my grandparents..... they are no more..... I have only my maternal grandfather and I am a big fan of him..... I want to be like him..... often I think if I develop those traits of my grandfather, I will be totally unbeatable in studies and all other aspects of my life!

The kind of thinking I have developed living with my parents and siblings is that sometimes it is tough to understand each-other's thoughts, wishes but it's not impossible also! A little bit of effort and you get to know about family members' wishes and thoughts. Sometimes we become impatient, we forget the difference between elders and younger, we become agitated but this should be avoided. There should be a code of conduct which we should develop while interacting with our family members..... if we our elders we will talk with patience and listen to them carefully and solve their problems but not force them for anything..... if we wish younger of our family to understand and do something accordingly we should by calm minds explain those things and their benefits and let them decide what to do. If we are younger of our family we should listen to our elders carefully and with patience because they are our well-wishers, we should always try to learn from them, their experiences. And the most important thing which goes for elders as well as younger of the family is that we should always in any case respect each other, there is no place of ego, ignorance and arrogance in relationships. Anger is the worst and most dangerous enemy of humans and this goes true while interacting with family members also. Where there is love, there is peace! This should be motto of every family member and only this way we can remain united with our family and protect them and enjoy our lives as well.Because family is like that strong base upon which a multi-storeyed building of our life is built and none can imagine a better building without a base! I hope my words and my personal experiences will help you to move in a right direction!
