Plastic bags are an important cause of environmental pollution. Plastic as a substance is not biodegradable and, therefore, plastic bags remain in the environment for hundreds of years, polluting it immensely. It has become extremely essential to ban plastic bags before they completely ruin our planet.

Countries that have banned plastic bags :

Many countries around the world have banned the plastic bag or tax laws to limit their use. Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Morocco, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Taiwan, England, Germany, Hawaii, New York, Italy, Scotland, Rhode Island and Maine are among them. These measures have greatly reduced the use of plastic bags. However, the problem has not been completely solved because the implementation of these measures has not been very successful.

The black market for plastic bags exists in some of these countries and these toxic bags still circulate illegally.

Reasons to ban plastic bags :

There are numerous reasons why the government of several countries has taken strict measures to limit the use of plastic bags. Some of these include:

Plastic waste bags immensely pollute the earth and water.

Plastic bags have become a threat to the lives of animals living on land and in water.

Chemicals released from waste plastic bags enter the soil and make it sterile.

Plastic bags have a negative impact on human health.

Plastic bags cause drainage problems.

The public must support the ban on plastic bags

While the Indian government has imposed a ban on the use of plastic bags in many states, people continue to see these bags. From time to time traders stop providing plastic bags to buyers, but they return to them as the government takes no strong action to stop their production and distribution. It's time we contribute to our side to make this ban a success.

We, the educated group of the company, must take our responsibility to discontinue the use of plastic bags and ensure that even those around us stop using them. Here's how we can support the government in this direction :-

Keep an eye on it :

We are so used to using plastic bags that it is difficult to interrupt their use suddenly. To succeed in this mission, we must continue to remember the harmful effects of plastic bags on our nature and keep control over their use. Gradually, we will become habitual to do without these bags.

Search for alternatives :

There are many ecological alternatives to plastic bags. Instead of carrying plastic bags to carry our grocery items and other things, we can bring a reusable jute or cloth bag every time we go to the market.

re-use :

We should reuse the plastic bags we already have at home as many times as possible before throwing them away.

Spread the knowledge :

While the government must raise awareness of the harmful effects of plastic bags and the need to ban them through advertisements and billboards, we can also spread awareness through word of mouth. We can educate our domestic help, car cleaner and children in society about environmental problems caused by plastic bags and urge them to stop using it.

…………………………………………………………………………………………..

The problems caused by plastic bags have often been overlooked and underestimated. This is because people do not observe the long-term effect of these small and easy-to-carry bags that they use in their daily lives. They continue to use these bags for the practicality they offer completely ignoring the fact that these bags have a negative effect on the environment and represent a threat to life on earth.
