He called himself a BRAHMIN!!

I bark like a street animal, for that is what I have been treated like. Raise me to be a human, for all that is I ask for.. To be equal.. To be Human..

Being inhuman was his birth right..

Controlled by his superior potency, he swept us like the outgrown weed in a paddy field.

He walked with his head on a crown, and his chest swelled with disrespect for the on goers of the temple that his ancestor build for his pride.

He hammered his believes in the heart of minority, and plagued the entire Village with his wisdom for serving God and following his path blindly was the only choice we had.

He rose like The Hercules for his people who called him a hero.

He turned them all into the socially feared monster that he was.

I bought a pot of water and washed his feet dry. He blessed me with his words, but refrained himself from my touch.

I did touch your feet Pujariji!!.. am I not untouchable enough to do that??..

This question was like a deafening note for all present particles of dust like me..

Girl!! Are you out of your mind??... You want us all dead??.. He's The Hercules.. The one who's power cannot be questioned!!..

The silence prevailed, like the unwanted settlement between the past and the present.

I still could not understand, why I couldn't be answered.. For I was just a mere Girl!!..

I dare ask you again Pujariji!!...

""I did touch your feet !!.. am I not untouchable enough to do that??..""

His eyes were red like a molten lava dripping out of his eyeballs.

He trembled in anger, and kicked the "Thaal" where sometime ago he had kept his very feet to clean.

All gazed on him.. Some with fear.. Some with curiosity.. Some with disgust.. Some with mockery.. and some with pity..

But I was just a mere girl looking for an answer.. and answer I shall have..

For I had nothing to loose.. For I had no pride.. For I had no Shame..

For I was just a dust particle who gets swept by them everyday.

Do you want me to repeat my question Pujariji??..

He left the temple ground.. And my question was unheard and unanswered.. :( :(

I waited on the temple steps.. That was a place where I begged for food everyday for my family..

Today seemed to be my lucky day.. So what if my question wasn't answered.. But I got more food than usual.. I think the wind changed its direction and made these people a little more kind..

I was in my happiest mood.. and couldn't wait to reach home.

The house door was ajar.. Maa and Bauji were no where to be found..

I screamed my lungs out and searched for them in every corner..

Where are you Maa??... See I bought lots of food today..

Bauji where are you???.. you don't have to go beg to Pujariji today.. This food would last for a week I think..

Yet, again no body answered my question..

I dropped all the food in the vessel kept on the side of the kitchen wall, and went running to the Villagers asking for my parents whereabouts.

Everyone had tears in their eyes...

Someone screamed --- "They paid for your stupidity you filthy little piece of shit!!"..

I begged everyone-- Tell me where are they??... Tell meee!!!....

But nobody answered... Nobody answered!!!!!....

I kept running!!.. into the fields.. passing through the river.. crossing the school bridge...

I reached the outskirt of our village and yet couldn't find them..

Than I heard someone singing--

""You shall pass like a dust.. You would crawl this very earth like a worm..

Your heart holds no grieve. Your soul seeks no redemption..

You made yourself a fool, when you called urself his equal!!..

You shall be punished.. and you shall be swept away like a pile of weed in the filed..""

We use to call him "Paglu Chacha"!!..

He use to wander around begging for food.. Everyone knew he was Pujariji's brother..

But he disrespected his believes so he was thrown out of the family..

I saw him singing this song to something hanging by the tree..

I assumed he might have seen my Maa and Bauji..So I went rushing to him..

But my legs froze at the sight of the bodies hanging from the tree..

It was Maa and Bauji.. Their bodies were mutilated.. I couldn't have recognized them, if they had stripped them off their clothes..

I still couldn't move.. I was like a dead soul, seeking for a voice to be heard..

But all I could feel is a void .. A void which was created by blind believes, and forced kingship..

My tongue hurt, and I asked him with a broken voice...

Who Did This??

Paglu Chaha, still kept Singing!!...

Today, is not going to be the day of "Unanswered Question"..

I screamed to break every single void.. I screamed for pain.. I screamed for my right..

I finally screamed!!!

WHO DID THIS????????????.....

He shivered with fear.. and shifted his position to look at me.. he was not singing any more..

For I was the Kali he had dreamt of coming and rescuing him from this filthy shit-hole.

My eyes boiling with rage.. My skin burning with hate.. My hands itching to hold a sword..

My heart craving for slicing the throat of the Murderer...

I picked up the stick lying on the ground!!...

I will not ask you again...

WHO DID THIS????????????????....

to which he answered with fear....

He called himself a BRAHMIN!!
